The Vinci 80 Corten steel fire pit by INGRILL combines a fire bowl, a plancha and a storage unit in a single piece of equipment. Around its 80 cm diameter, you can cook and share meals by the fire, summer and winter alike, on a piece designed to stay outdoors all year round.

• 10 mm stainless steel plancha: once hot, it curves slightly inwards so that cooking fats drip into the fire.

Corten steel: a patina that evolves

Corten steel is a steel to which phosphorus, copper, chromium and nickel are added. This composition allows it to rust on the surface without ever deteriorating at its core, so it can stay outdoors for several decades. Its patina forms over roughly two years:

• 1 to 3 months: a yellow/orange surface layer of corrosion appears. During this phase, rust run-off may stain wooden or concrete terraces, so remember to protect your floor.
• 3 to 6 months: the corrosion layer becomes darker and harder.
• 6 months to 1 year: the colour evens out, the rust becomes very solid and the run-off stops.
• 1 to 2 years: the fire pit reaches its final shade, a more or less dark brown. As every Corten sheet is unique, so is every fire pit.
