The VINCI 80 fire pit pairs a black powder-coated cooking bowl with a Corten steel cabinet. With its round 80 cm diameter plancha, it lets you cook and enjoy the warmth of the fire on your terrace. It is hand-welded and assembled in France from thick steel.

A black powder-coated bowl

The bowl is coated with black powder and then baked at 200 °C. This powder coating creates a slightly textured, even and very tough finish. It is non-toxic, non-polluting and long-lasting.

Installation

In the version without castors, the VINCI fire pit is fitted with height-adjustable plastic feet that protect your floor and keep the fire pit level.

Corten steel and its patina

Corten steel is enriched with phosphorus, copper, chromium and nickel. It rusts on the surface but never through, so it can stay outdoors for several decades without deteriorating. Its patina develops over about two years:

• From 1 to 3 months: a thin yellow/orange layer of corrosion appears. During this phase, rust run-off can stain wooden or concrete terraces: protect your floor.
• From 3 to 6 months: the layer becomes darker and harder.
• From 6 months to 1 year: the colour evens out, the rust becomes very solid and the run-off stops.
• From 1 to 2 years: the fire pit reaches its final shade, a more or less dark brown. Every Corten sheet is unique, and so is its colour.
