We designed the Rabelais 80 fire pit to be easy to use and to adapt to your needs. It is made up of two separate parts: a bowl and a cabinet. This modular design makes transport and installation easier. You can customise the storage space with a removable shelf, ideal for storing wood or accessories. A side bracket also lets you hang your utensils within easy reach. If you choose the version without castors, adjustable feet protect your floor while ensuring optimum stability.

Durable materials and a premium finish: Rabelais 80 Black Fire Pit

The choice of materials guarantees exceptional durability and a refined look:

• Plancha and central grill (optional): made from 10 mm thick S235JR steel, they ensure even heat distribution. Once heated, the plancha tilts slightly inwards to channel cooking fat into the fire.
• Cabinet: made from 2 mm Corten steel, it stands up perfectly to the weather.
• Cooking bowl: made from 4 mm steel, it has a high-temperature powder coating, combining strength and elegance.

A tough powder-coated finish

The fire pit bowl receives a black powder coating. Baked at 200 °C, this process gives the surface greater resistance to heat and the weather. This eco-friendly, non-polluting treatment also ensures optimum longevity while adding a modern touch to the fire pit.

The benefits of Corten steel

Corten steel, used for the cabinet, offers exceptional resistance thanks to its specific composition including phosphorus, copper, chromium and nickel. This composition allows the metal to develop a protective surface patina that prevents any internal deterioration. The material remains intact for decades, even outdoors.

How the patina develops:

1. 1 to 3 months: a yellow/orange tint forms on the surface. Please note: this phase can cause run-off that stains wooden or concrete floors.
2. 3 to 6 months: the patina darkens and becomes more resistant.
3. 6 months to 1 year: the colour evens out and the run-off stops.
4. 1 to 2 years: the cabinet reaches its final shade, an elegant dark brown unique to each piece.
